Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
A board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management in 2003 from Regis College. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP) in 2004 and a Master’s in Nursing from IHP in 2006. I started my nursing career as a community nurse in 2005 at Upham's community health center. I enjoyed four fulfilling years at the bedside in medical /surgical unit and Labor and Delivery/Maternity at Boston Medical Center. I have three years of experience providing primary care services as a nurse practitioner with Boston Care Medical Group, (now Community Care Alliance).
I’ve been working as a women’s health nurse practitioner since 2011. My passion has always been Women’s Health. Specifically in Sexually Transmitted Infections, Family Planning, and International/Global Health. This is what prompted me to start the non-profit organization Sante Fanm Ak Lafanmi in 2009. The goal was to educate young adolescents regarding STIs and break myths regarding contraception through implementing educational community outreach programs in the schools in Haiti.
“I want my patients to be an active participants in their care. I love to listen to their needs, show them that I care, and teach them about the importance of preventive care. The importance of healthy eating, exercising, and managing stress”.
When I am not working, I love to dance, travel, and most importantly spend time with my family.
I am fluent in both English and Haitian Kreyol.
